Hey,
I'm Sean.
I grew up on a Farm and spend most of my Life inside the Wildlife Parks.
I Fell in love with Photography about 25 years ago when I worked inside the Sabi Sands Game Reserve at an exclusive Lodge, where I admired Photographs of Horst Klemm and Beverley and Derek Joubert.
I am From a Town called Komatipoort in South Africa, bordering the Kruger National Park where I spend most of my days.
From grass-roots
beginnings.
My very 1st Entry Level Camera was a Pentax MZ50, 23 Years ago. 35mm Film rolls was spent daily, as I wanted to photograph everything that moved, or even stills. I only realized after the 1st month, when I took the Films for developing, that this was not the route, as it broke my Budget Completely. I was young, no money left for Entertainment, and learned the hard way that one must rather perfect your camera skills, instead of just pressing down the Camera Shutter Button. Every Press of the Button, cost money... Lesson Learnt.
Creating powerful imagery
for brands.
My goal is to capture wild African animals in all their splendor. The problem is that everyone with a good Cellphone Camera Nowadays, have the ability to get a Good Photo, hence closing the doors to Capturing animals As natural as possible. I had to adapt, and started focusing on Pastel Colors with a Bit of a Blurry Background. It is this type of Style I have adapted to, and I am quite Pleased with the end results, without taking the beauty of the animal away.
